----BOOK ONE: DRAGON BALL [Canonical]-----
A kid named Goku [pronounced as : Go-ko-u] ( saiyan name: Kakarotu ) met Bulma (daughter of an inventor who owned Capsule Corporation). Goku was holding a four-star dragon ball. And Bulma was trying to find all seven dragon balls to make a wish. Eventually he found Master Roshii, the old-man living in an island, a martial artist and mentor. A shaolin kid came to be a student of Master Roshi; whose name was Krillin or Kuririn. One night, Goku transformed into a giant monkey (the curse of the Saiyans).
Until such time, Master Roshi [pronounced as :Ro-shi-i] got nothing to teach with any of his students, he came to Goku and said "This a new technique Goku, this is '*Kame-kame-Ha!' ". The technique needed much concentration and meditation; and Master Roshi has to exert a lot of effort and energy to demonstrate it. However, Goku did it effortlessly. One time, Goku went on harder training, he has to be as flexible as the wind... stronger than the rocks and boulders... and faster than the mighty lightning. And he became an honorable student with a dragon fighter level with formidable fighting skills under Master Roshi's Academy [ The Turtle Style Martial Arts School] .

*In animé version, it is "Kamehameha / Kame-Hame-Ha!".
*In a comprehensive form, it is Kame sen'nin no kamehamenami ( 亀 仙人 の かめはめ波 ) which means "Kamehameha of Master Roshi".
Kami (髪) means Hair or Hair Strands;
Kame (亀) is Tortoise or Turtle.
